In our configurator, you’ll find various designs for a skylight in your extension. Under the « Roof Light » section, instead of the default « no » option, you can choose from different designs. This starts with a single row of 2 skylight panels and goes up to a double row with a total of 8 skylight panels. By clicking on the options, you’ll instantly see how the entire design looks in the 3D model.

What you won’t see in the configurator is that it’s also possible to add a sunshade.

What does a skylight cost?

The exact cost of a skylight depends on the design you choose. Using our design tool, you can easily get insight into the costs. For every skylight you select for your extension, the total amount at the bottom of the screen updates instantly. Note: The total cost of the extension with a skylight is also influenced by factors such as size, façade cladding, and various additional options.

Insulated extension with skylight

An extension with a skylight not only brings extra natural light into your home but also provides excellent insulation. At Mag bugbriek, our prefab extensions come standard with a prefabricated insulated system floor (Rc 4.5 m²K/W), insulated walls (Rc 4.9 m²K/W), and a roof with a steel beam layer (6.0 m²K/W). The skylight itself is equipped with HR++ glass. This ensures that we far exceed the recommended insulation values for new builds, as outlined in the 2021 Building Code.
